Nishi Dugar is a filmmaker and cinematographer from Jaipur, India.
She studied Cinematography at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia from Saint Xavier's College, Kolkata.

Growing up in Calcutta and Jaipur, during her teen years, she started experimenting in photography, and cinematography came as a natural progression. She is also a member of the Indian Women Cinematographer’s Collective and has worked on numerous projects as a second unit cinematographer and camera operator.


Nishi wants to tell stories too - about the intimate, the tacit fragments of human relationships. Anaar Daana, her first short film - traces her roots back to Rajasthan. The film had its world premiere at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival in the Generation Kplus Competition.
